Educate employers about incentives, reasons for hiring individuals from poverty and diverse backgrounds, and how to best engage the community.

Address structural racism: Educate employers about how to improve internal practices to be more welcoming.


Examples of how organizations can implement this Best Practice:

  • "Employer of the year" award.

  • Promote "good" employers on WPO website.

  • Connect employers with tax incentives and other public programs.

  • Connect employers to educational/training opportunities around structural racism, diversity, etc.
